Home Depot Floor Rug

We recently moved into a new home and went to Home Depot in search of a new floor rug to go in my dining room. The colors in my house are very warm and I will be slowing painting almost all of the rooms to transition into a cool/neutral color scheme. Although the rug color I’m in search of doesn’t necessarily go with the current wall color, I knew I wanted a rug that incorporated shades of grey as the room pictured will be painted a very pale grey. The trouble I was running into was the pricing on larger rugs is crazy high. I’m working within a budget to refresh my home and didn’t want to spend over $300 for this particular piece. I searched high and low online and in stores for well made rugs in my price point and kept coming up short.
To be completely honest, I didn’t even think to look at Home Depot for a new dining room rug, but I happened to be looking online at their lighting selection (planning on changing that light fixture pictured too) and figured I’d check it out. The one thing I need to point out about this rug is that it is made of quality material. This is not a cheap area rug loosely woven together that you can easily see through the rug to the bottom. Nope. Not at all. This rug is soft to step on and it doesn’t stand up high from the floor, which I love so we aren’t tripping over it. I’m extremely happy with the slight shimmer in the tan pieces and how beautiful it looks in person. This was a steal at $169 for a large 8×10. A steal!
If you are looking for an incredible deal, but my rug isn’t your style, I’ve linked a few others below that are similar in price points, color scheme, size, and style:
I’ll be posting more soon about all of the changes we will be making to our new house. In the meantime, check out my post about the ColourPop Super Shock Eyeshadows. Also, did a post about Bras for Curvy Girls.
